It doesn't seem to do it in windowed, but I don't like playing in windowed mode. I don't have AVG, never had, my graphics drivers are up to date and my card is supported by all the games. I've already tried disabling the Steam overlay, and I already have a selective startup set in msconfig, so I'm pretty sure it's not a random application running in the background. Update: I downloaded BitDefender Total Security 2012 Evaluation and scanned Full-System but no infections. General Discussion Computer crashes randomly; full-screen games, full screen moviesHi all, Been having a few computer troubles, last couple of days.
I also have a small hack to run Windows Dreamscene on Win7, but I've used that too for over a year without issue. I've had 6 in the last day or so, though.

General Discussion Full screen Games minimizing to taskbar for no reasonHello. I'm running windows server atm, so I had to install the aero goodness (doesnt come installed)... I check task area and is doesn't show it running anywhere but it will keep popping up to the sign in screen for a sec or 2 then disappears again.. http://phpbbinstallers.net/windows-10/random-and-different-bsod-s.html One person even commented it erased their hard drive!
I don't know much about this kind of thing, and hopefully someone else more experienced in this area can help better, but I thought I should at least tell you what I've killed Steam while playing non-Steam games, but no difference. Hit windows key + r ( run at the start menu ) and type regedit -7.
