My system is Dell T-7500 Workstation with Windows -7 ( 64 bit ) & I booted it from my 500 GB HDD & kept the 3 TB HDD as a slave Asus P5Q Pro, WD 3TB drive. The motherboard clearly sees a 3TB drive while the OS sees something that is excluding around 2.2TB of the raw capacity. Any suggestions? The download currently weighs in at around 6.5MB for the English only version making it a quick task to get on most broadband connections. I am not sure if RST will apply to my system since I don have Raid. After researching for this issue, i then installed the latest Intel RST driver on my Windows 8 system.

The Z400 cannot use boot drives greater than 2TB. solved Problems installing new 3TB HDD. I have the same 746GB problem and thanks to the article I found here I understand now what the problem is.
I'd like to know before I start transferring files to it. Now back to trying to recover by failing drive…. Rebooted and was able to see the full drive using Win 7 64-bit drive management utility. Take out install disk and reboot.
