What I have pinned to the taskbar not only disappears, but it doesn't reappear, Or if it stays (as is the case sometimes with iTunes) it just doesn't work anymore. Fred W. I don't know why that is. The solution is kind of a hack. Whenever I update, the Macrium shortcut I have on my desktop stops working and gives me the ol' "I can't find it!" error message.
I honestly wish that these programs functioned differently. An 18 year career as a programmer at Microsoft soon followed. The only solution that I'm aware of at this point (if you're talking about the taskbar) is to: Use the Start menu; Find the program in the menus; Start it up; I'll look at what's changed and how to create shortcuts that can be modified. 2 Comments Gary D.
