When I tried to do a repair, using the XP Professional disk, the XP Windows Installation partition is listed as "Unknown". I need to get access to this. You also need to hope that your physical control is greater then your attackers physical threat.

Or, should I get a 2.5 to 3.5 ide adapter and actually slave the unbootable drive inside the desktop tower? Please check the data which need recovering, and then click "Save Files" to save these lost files. This is not a solution, mind you, just another deterrent. I was lucky enough to remove all info I needed through use of an older USB WD hard drive.
Now here is the tricky part. Yes it did auto run some scan check on the E drive and mentioned corrupt and then deleting I think, (it's soooo fast) and lately it had alot more that it But it was just a short relief for I noticed that my IE 8, YM, Windows Media Player, Mc Afee Security Center and others are not running properly or doesn't run Please remember that when I press F11 it does nothing but enters into a normal startup.
